Yesterday was a sad day for us. We lost our beloved Oreo Dog. She was a good dog, even though I usually referred to her as "Stupid Dog". Our routine has been drastically different without her here. We miss her a lot.

The back yard is getting slowly back to normal. The ducks have sure had a great time out there. They are pretty timid, however, and refuse to hold still enough for a good photo. Dave says the birds will have to eat at the house, as he chooses not to wade to the feeder. You can see how much the water has gone down on the feeder post.

January Flood

We have been blessed with a fair amount of snow this winter, which turns into a great amount of flooding when it all melts at once. The rains came steady for about a week and the snow piled up in puddles that covered the entire back yard. Erik took some photos of the winter-turned-water wonderland in which we live.

Purple Sunrise

I almost missed this color! I did miss the actual sun - the clouds gobbled it up very quickly.

This photo was taken along Jonesville Road on the way to Coldwater. Everything was a cool, blue, frosty color - gorgeous!

Michelle and I went to Coldwater yesterday and took photos along the way of all the beautiful, frosty scenery. The ride was breathtaking. We only had one truck honk at us for stopping along the roadside - after that we chose sideroads for stopping!
