...and more pictures of the animals...

...and baby giraffes....

We got to look down and see the baby giraffes and some of the other animals on the savannah, and Magnus got to feed one of the adult giraffes.

Some of the animals we saw....

A Day at the Zoo

Aunt Michelle ("Please") and I took Magnus and Oliver to the Binder Park Zoo to see the baby giraffes. They were very cute, but Magnus really enjoyed the tortoise. Oliver really enjoyed riding in the stroller!! He did like looking at all the different birds, however. Magnus got to ride the carousel like he used to do in Pittsburgh. We had ice cream on the way home and life continues to be good. :)

June is for Weddings

I really like taking photos at outdoor weddings. This last one was a bit too hot for me, but I enjoy seeing all the backstage parts of a wedding interplay with what everyone gets to see. This one was very nice, aside from the heat.
This is my favorite photo.

Welcome, Summer 2010!

For the first time in my teaching career I was done with school on the last day! That may sound strange to those of you who are not in education, but usually after the kids leave there are tests to grade, grades to figure, and a room to pack up for the summer. I was ahead of the game this year (with a little help from having no exams on the last day!)

Yipee! let the sun shine, the pool warm up, and me sleep in!!

I also took the opportunity while mom was at the cabin to snap some photos of her beautiful blooms!

To start the summer, I rode a bus (one of two) to Michigan's Adventure Amusement Park, in Muskeegan. 6 hours on a bus in one day - I'm good for a couple years!!

Erik took a picture of a snapper that wandered into the yard. He looks like he is happy that summer is here, too!

Magnus

Magnus tried for quite a while to get the beach ball back into the pool after grandpa got it out from under the bridge! He also studied the vultures and bees and flowers. He's a little nature nut - just like his daddy!

Oliver!

Oliver had some WILD hair goin' on!
He loves to throw things into the creek. Grandpa kept a good vigil and avoided having the boy go into the creek!

Oliver is extremely quick when it comes to many things - one of which is plucking plants from their places!

AAAAAAaahhhhhhhhh!

more playin' outside

Playin' Outside

We got to watch the boys while their parents went to graduation. Oliver LOVES to play outside, just like his older brother. We looked at the creek, played with the frisbee, watched vultures circling overhead, and studied a bumble bee slurping nectar.

Treasures

Magnus found a toad...Oliver wasn't sure he wanted to hold it!

Splish Splash in the Springtime!

We have had a lot of water this spring and it made for our own personal lake! The boys had a blast - even the big boy who didn't want to get splashed finally got into it - literally!!
